Do you know the feeling of being overwhelmed?

Who am I kidding, I’m sure you do.

Work, taking care of kids, hobbies, friends, the list goes on, doesn’t it?

Sometimes it’s hard to remember to take care of yourself.

Woman at work, overwhelmed.

So I have to ask… when’s the last time you thought about what you needed?

I’ve learned that as we grow in life, we start to live for other people and tend to forget about ourselves.

For me, this happened when I opened my business.

That’s when I really started to invest in my health.

I realized with taking on such a large endeavor that depended on ME, I could no longer take my health for granted. That’s why I work out consistently and pay attention to the ailments that bother me.

Shoulder pain, ankle pain, and with all the squats I do, low back pain, too.

Pain pops up every now and then. And if I try to ignore it, it leads to me getting more tired, achey, and easily irritable.

And I CAN’T live like that with my business and family depending on me.

That’s why I work with Christy Scholl, and a personal trainer, and I workout 4 times a week. Because I know I’m not being the best possible person and business owner if I let the pain get the best of me.

So, where am I going with this?

Getting rid of pain is one of those things that helps you SO THAT you can continue to help the people you hold most dear.

Too many people ignore helping themselves. And in turn, the people around them suffer for it.

I mean in the U.S. alone, over 20% of adults live with chronic pain and don’t treat it.

Maybe relying on “band aid fixes” like Advil and Tylenol to get them to the next day. Sacrificing the life they deserve in the process.

Two people exercising together on top of a cliff by the ocean.

A pain free life.

So let me ask you one last question… Who are you letting down by not taking care of your pain?
