I was thinking the other day about what it is we do here at Impulse Chiropractic and Rehab. When I explain to someone how this office is different from other chiros, there’s an overwhelming amount of examples I can give. How do I boil it down to its core elements?

Chiro working on a patient.

Well, for one, the personal connection with patients.

Yet another advantage of hour-long appointments (besides getting our patients out of pain faster) is that I really get the chance to know and build a relationship with my patients.

That time also gets spent on education.

In fact, this is one of the most valuable takeaways for so many of the people who see me (even the ones who don’t end up pursuing care!) You know– I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard something along the lines of “I can’t believe that was the issue all along, and I never even realized.”

Nobody bothered to listen.

Someone told me today that he had so many doctors visits over the course of the years, trying to find the cause of his issue, and nobody bothered to actually listen to him. How frustrating! What’s even more frustrating is that his experience isn’t even rare. It is, sadly, very common.

Everyone knows someone with a story like this– someone that the medical system mistreated so deeply that they’re hesitant to get care when they actually need it, because they don’t want to have another awful experience.

This is why I am so motivated to be different.

I’ve heard so many horror stories from my patients about being given the complete diagnostic runaround, wasting their time and money, only for no one to have any actual answers. In my office, nobody pays for a consultation. If I don’t know that I can help, I communicate that, because I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. I want to provide a better experience for everyone who walks through my door.
